XJ550 Pick-up coils - low ohms problem

Hi All

My bike (XJ550 with Radian engine in) won't start easily (or at all on some occasions), it sparks ok but when I tested the ignition pickup coils (as a last resort) I find them much out of spec (115 ohm vs 650 ohm).

I thought my problems were fuel related but now I'm not sure. Anyone know the effect of having very low ohm pick-ups ?

OK forget this one 115 Ohms is corerct spec for teh pick-ups on this engine..
