I do, but I only block the flash, spack-you-out rolling on the floor ads.
Static, non-flashing, zero animation ads are fine and do not piss me off.

How many ads do you click on? You know to create income for said servers, to pay those bills?

I don't watch adverts on TV and I place a higher value on TV than BCF. Should I stop fast forwarding through those adverts? Crying or Very sad

If Korn wants income I still can't see why he has no Donate option. Donate and the ads get switched off for a year. Simple. More profitable.

As it is, I won't turn Adblock off and risk my machine to the malicious ads we've often seen here. The consequence of that, being limited to green-only karma for not "supporting" the site (Smile), hasn't changed my mind one bit either...

If paying to use BCF then people would have higher expectations.

Why would I want to pay for something that has been free for 13 years?

I've donated over 27,042 posts to BCF. Without registered users posting on BCF there wouldn't be the huge numbers of guests being served ads as they browse BCF.

If you don't want to, then you wouldn't have to. The only expectation you'd have if you optionally donated would be the ads getting switched off when logged in.

I'd rather he got a couple of quid off me directly instead of plaguing me with infected adverts to make 10p a year off me and karma rape if I dare to disable them. I doubt I am the only one. Other forums do it.

The anti-NSFW/Porn crackdown was driven because he needed an advertiser friendly policy, nothing to do with "saving people's jobs". Indirectly, less advertiser revenue + more user revenue = more freedom.

I've donated to multiple free (as in beer and software) software projects. The same arguments come up on other sites as well. "If you pay for it you will expect a say in how it's run", which I've never seen evidence of.

Still, ads don't bother me *hugs adblock*

Google image search for the 'ad banner' doesn't find anything useful.

Ad banner without the bcf logo.

I'm leaning towards it being a rogue fucked up ad rather than FBI GCHQ NSA.
