Sounds like an interesting concept, to have custom builders design, based on their current range. MT09 based:

I quite like this - appeals to my retro senses. It'd be interesting to see how close Yamaha would go to this if they decided to put it into production.

Sorry if it's a repost, didn't see it here.

My problem with it.

The production version will at best be 'inspired' by the one-off. Celebrity product endorsement.

Isn't the flat-track-cafe-scrambler fad about played out anyway?

Yes, hence my point about wondering how close a production version would be to this one.

Yes, it is flat-tracker I suppose, but it also seems to have a bit of a retro road look at the same time, which is what appeals to me. I guess it's only fine degrees of interpretation that make this one stand out for me.

I don't think there's any problem with revamping well-used concepts if it's done well. It'd be nigh-on impossible to come up with completely original designs for every bike that goes to production.

It might be nice if they could produce this in a couple of forms - one for the budget-conscious, and maybe a limited edition version with high spec. suspension and a good dollop of extra power?

Can one of these yard built bikes please be based on a TZ750 and I'll take it either in cafe racer form or Kenny Roberts flat track style. Hell even a TZ750 super tenere or factory custom would still get me hard.
