Hi all iv got a slight head scratching moment , I'm going to send my honda nsr 125 barrel off for replating at langcourt. And the issue is what done will it be done to as in the manual it gives piston to barrel clearance of 0.040 to 0.049 now my question is I'm going for a forged piston and if I remember right the tolerance is less but can't remember. If any one has done this all ready help will be most appreciated. Thanks ian

I got the forged pistons first then had the barrels done to suit them, don't know if you can get different sizes for yours but for my TZ there was 4 sizes of piston for the standard 54mm bore depending on the plating.
Ask the advise of the platers. Forged piston clearance is much more critical though.

it'll be the piston that is different, not the barrel
