AV Transmitter current draw.

Any idea how much current the sender unit on one of these uses?

How far is your shed from the house? You could do worse than buy some of the Blagdon armoured power stuff to run from the house to your shed - fit a plug on the house end and you don't have to worry about part-p. It's also relatively cheap.

I've done this for my shed, took apart the far end adaptor and wired it to a dual socket and feed for lighting.

I doubt they'd know unless it says on the unit.
With a 25m range it will probably be similar to a typical router, less than 5watts?

Ok,

You can ask those who have bought one to look on the PSU to find the max output current.

I would hazard a guess at it being 5A max.

Legally speaking they should be limited to max 25mw output at 5.8ghz but it doesn't say for sure so we can't work it out.

They're cheap enough I think Il just buy one. I cant imagine the current draw will be prohibitivly high.
