How many passengers were killed?

The Ruskies would never shoot down an innocent/non military plane. Rolling Eyes

Yes I saw that is was a 'Military' aircraft and the pilots had ejaculated.

I also understand that one of the problems with the Reds getting 'into it' was that they don't cooperate with NATO forces in the area which everyone knows (except the Russians) can lead to 'friendly fire'.

The Russians say they were in their own area. I believe them. Smile

The main issue is who's is who's territory?

History:
When a boat crew of the British Navy were famously captured by the Iranian Revy-Revy Guard in the middle of the Gulf, Iran said, "the Brits were in 'Iranian waters' and were arrested 'legally'."
The trouble with that is that the Gulf territory has/had never been ratified by the main antagonists, Iraq and Iran and the marine international border is some 50 miles wide. A sort of No Man's Land.
The Rag heads, who constantly seek to make some sort of a point, would of course be much better at navigation and stuff than members of a highly trained and sophisticated superpower.
(inb4. And I know even superpowers make mistakes)

Can't understand why the Turks are claiming responsibility for it? Surely that means that Russia are just going to go back and bomb them. Turks could just blame it on whatever rebel group they don't like.

It's not about the law if the other party does not participate on it. Smile

Russian planes invading other country's air space or flying very close to it is an every day occurrence Thumbs Up

same for their navy, for the last 10 days or so UK, French and Canadian ships & planes have been hunting a Russian sub off the Scottish coast

Because Turkey is backed by NATO. Which means article 5. Article 5 states that if one member of NATO is attacked then it considers every single member of NATO to have been attacked.

This means bombing Turkey would be a BIG escalation. It might result in situations where we need factor 60,000,000 sun block.

I bought some bear traps, some mars bars some batter and some cooking oil.

If it goes south, I go north and set bear traps with fried mars bars in them. Those Scots are oat fed you know!

Is there an opt-out form somewhere for not getting nuked because Turkey did something stupid? Can we invite Putin round for afternoon tea?
