Point #4 is quite interesting. They want the middle-east to be toppled, they want the US (or the west in general) to invade, so it can start WW3 in the correct area just as scriptures predict.

Also, the British journalist John Cantlie, who they currently have as prisoner, writes articles for them (presumably edited heavily - or maybe he's as honest as he can be without risking his own death) and has this to say about the current Western-led bombing campaign in Syria:

Funnily enough, I've often wondered what it is that IS actually want. What is it that drives them to such lengths to get attention. Similarly, what is it in people's lives that makes them decide that going on a jihadi mission is something worth doing. That article was an interesting read.

I thought that ISIS was heavily built from the old Iraqi Republican Guard, they are predominantly Sunni. This might explain how they were able to capture American military hardware and seem quite proficient at using it.
The CIA may or may not have instigated, but for a long time did seem happy they had a rebel army, well equipped and trained, to take on Assad in Syria. One example might be for so long why they appeared to allow ISIS the $500 million pa oil trafficking to continue.

Russia's interjection seems to have forced the USA's hand, coupled with the Paris shootings, America has finally joined the bombing of these tankers.
And guess what, inside of a few weeks it was all blown to shit. Funny it couldn't have been done 18mths ago...

I'm just repeating stuff I read on the interwebs, no idea if there is any truth to it. It's so batshit crazy, I'm inclined to believe it.
