I have a Hein Gericke Touring jacket bought in the sale before they went under in 2012. I swapped to using a larger pair of trousers (old franks thomas ones with a hg compatible zip) and felt the shoulder armour digging in. I took it out aiming to swap in the forcefield parts from my summer jacket. They dont fit. I noticednthe HG armour has gone really hard so i suspect it has expired. The rst ones that used to fit in my summer jacket do fit and they are arguably better than the aged hg ones. However i'd prefer some ce level 2 stuff that feels as comfortable as the forcefeild stuff. Anyone know what might fit?

HG use more than one material for armour.
They 'hard' one is high density foam.
It is hard but body heat will allow it to confrom to your shape a little.

I think the theory ti to help prevent the armour moving out of place.

I have HJ Jailit that are years old with the 'black High Density foam' and no problems.

Yes, the black moulded armour is fairly firm when new. It feels a lot harder now. And it's not the weather. They have been sat on on my desk and it's 21C climate controlled in here.

Email to HG and ask them.
