I'm not sayin it's right but there are some things in life one must be aware of. There's been enough publicity about it. Don't these people who decide to kick off in public ever learn. It's sort of Social Darwinism.

I've been in countries where police have guns. Im never afraid but common sense dictates that those cops might not argue much.

To be perfectly honest... Of all the police brutality cases coming out of the US these days... this isn't one of them.

The guy was going around all crazy, walked onto a major road, had a knife in his hand, clearly had no intention of co-operating...

Only true fact is that the copper didn't need to fill him with so much lead. Neutralising the threat doesn't require an automatic kill response. In fact a taser would probably do.

Actually sod it, it was definitely murder of some form. Yank coppers go straight for the gun these days. All wannabe movie heroes.

Then have to go and tell someones parents he stabbed their son/daughter while on a drug fuelled rage.

Yeah the foul-play IMO is the magdumping not the shooting.

At the same time tho, balance of probabilities (hey, you can "convict" someone of rape-on-campus on such a loose burden-of-proof these days) says this was some gangbanger who would imprisoned (at taxpayers expense), then would be out doing more of the same.
