Tuesday night I had a nighttime ride home from our head office in Buckinghamshire back to london, clear sky and the brightest moon I've ever seen. The whole countryside seemed to be transformed into some kind of steel and gunmental-grey other world, with really odd moonlight shadows. Strangely beautiful and surreal. Reminds me of the line from 'Interview With The Vampire' - "The world changed, and yet remained the same". One of those special moments, like riding in a lighting storm that makes be think thank god I discovered biking. Just thought I'd share.

I did that last winter on a deserted M20 heading towards Maidstone. Had “Asteroid” by Killing Joke blasting in the headphones which made it even more surreal. It was absolutely freezing but as you say, eerie and wonderful.

Last night I was going over the moors beside a reservoir. The moonlight reflecting from the rippling surface was enticing. I almost forgot to turn to not end up in it.

I've watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate.

I was brought up on crossing spotlights on the Möhne Dam.

Time to die. Like this thread.

Meanwhile in my car, I experienced similar lighting, while warm and didn't feel the urge to become a born again poet, but I did feel the need to be an arsehole about it.

So you attacked the shoulder of a man in Shipley driving a Ford Orion?
