I have an 08 (non-abs) Yam FZ1s. Ive found the throttle travel too long, meaning I have to move my hand on the grip to be able to reach full throttle which is annoying.

Anyway after reading around on the net there was talk of fitting an R6 throttle tube as it has less travel, however I couldn't actually find anyone that had done it on an FZ1. I bit the bullet and ordered the tube (and grip because it comes together) from an 08 R6. Ive just fitted it and can confirm it works perfectly. Replaces like for like with no faffing around and reduces throttle travel to around 1/5 turn as per many aftermarket quick action throttles.

So all in all, a good mod. simple but effective.

part number used was 2co-26240-00-00 and wemoto sell them HERE for £25 delivered.
