Beware if you use this route - LOTS of oil on the road at the junction of Tavistock/Southampton Street and partway along Henrietta Street. I've just this moment reported it.

I was only doing around 10~15mph and went to slow down only to have the bike snake around. Even creeping along was quite hairy, it felt like I had a puncture because it was squirming around so much.
There's not even the tell-tale rainbow effect, there's so much oil the road just looks wet. After this happened a workman called out to be careful because of all the oil (would've been a bit more useful if he was warning people BEFORE they reached that part of the road) - so hopefully they're pro-active in cleaning it up. ____________________ '12 NC700S & '12 CB600F Hornet [Stolen by some dickless twat] Suzuki GT500 shed |

I'm staying in the house today as it is very windy in Glasgow.
But for the heads up. ____________________ Disclaimer: The comments above may be predicted text and not necessarily the opinion of MCN. |
