As the topic suggests I completed the cbt today in the absolute pissing rain but was a good bus and went in very quick!

My plan was to get myself a 125cc for a while then go for my full licence but after today I've decided that I'd soon hate my 125

So start my full lessons in a few weeks and hopefully have my full licence come March time

Good shout. As you managed the CBT in the shit weather, might as well go for DAS before March, probably get a discount and will be quiet at this time of year.

Hear that.. wait shh, listen.. that's music to my ears. Rolling Eyes (I'll get my coat).

Anyway, you should be done and dusted way before march although depends on your personal schedule and funds etc etc, the sooner you can do them (once you're ready according to training school) then I'd go for it. You've picked the ideal time of year as come post winter everyone wants a shot again and it becomes a first come first serve free for all.

Completing lessons over winter will improve your riding a lot, not only because CBT is far from adequate in giving people actual road knowledge and skill (Omg you didn't fall off or crash here's certificate thanks for monies) but the conditions are worse than at any other time of the year. Just make sure you turn up with waterproofs and thermals and plenty of warm food and the school will take care of the rest.

The instructor says after we done all the manoeuvres that I was two hours ahead of scheduled so we had a decent lunch...also didn't waste too much time on talking about kit as I had everything with me boots,gloves ,jacket,trousers and helmet.

Really did enjoy it although it was like a monsoon and windy lol

Going to spend around a £1000 on my first bike so will keep my eyes open

for £1000 I will recomend you to get a Fazer FZS 600, you can have decent boxeye for that check this one only 9000 miles 3 owners for £1000 the best value for money bike ever Very Happy :

That is a lovely bike

with being in Scotland makes buying a lot harder as they all seem to be down south
