skyjet rev counter

Hi guys, i bought a skyjet sj23 today for my missus to learn on. Overall its in decent nick. The only problem is the rev clock dont work. How do i fix it and is it an easy fix??. [/list]

It's not a bike that will see a lot of maintenance done by its owners, you're unlikely to get a specific, detailed answer.

Basic diagnosis, find the tacho cable running to somewhere on the engine, detach it at the engine and spin it up with a drill. If that works, the issue is at the engine end.

If the tacho doesn't register anything then detatch the cable at the tacho end and check that the cable inner is intact.

If it's not, replace the cable. If it is then the tacho is gubbed.
