Currently dismantled whole suspension swing arm and dogbone suspension link.
Priced up bearings seals etc from crawley kawaski and i will be into over £200.
Any one have any other options on bearings?ive taken out are koyo and not in bad nick. Think bikes been rebuilt at some point ,Part of me wants to replace the ones that were seized and whack the others back in ;.

Those needle bearings don't actually see a lot of wear as the linkage hardly moves. The only way they tend to get damaged is if/when they run out of grease..... or grit or some other foreign object gets in there. If they feel smooth and there's no play, use 'em again.
Is it those that's costing the £s. 'Tried finding them from elsewhere?

,yes its the replacement of bearings and associated seals etc that ramping up the costs.
You were right the ones that were knacked were dry as a bone Rolling Eyes

1. Look up the bike on CMSNL, it usually gives the bearing dimension on their fiche pages
2. Find bearing of the right size from a bearing supplier not a motorcycle shop
3. ????
4. Profit

Aye...look for any numbers on the seals and bearings and then try that number with google or with a bearing supplier. The seals should have numbers clear enough but the bearings maybe not, in which case you'll need to know the size.

Another vote for bearing factors, rebuilt my FJ1200 linkage for 50 quid instead of yamahas 150 or so.

Your best bet may be to take the seals and bearings to the bearings place, they should be able to measure them up and find the right ones.
