Hi all,
Just got another new bike. Suzuki DRZ400sm (2008). A few mods (full yoshimura exhaust system, 3x3 airbox, carb upjets etc.). Rode it back from London earlier this week.

Motorway trip? How did it cope?

Looks nice! Have you got SM gearing? Only thing I reckon that would improve it would be a tail tidy. Thumbs Up

Edit: Case savers too if it hasn't already got them, DRZ's are notorious for punching holes in them. Also a Manual Cam Chain Tensioner (MCCT).

Thanks a lot guys. I did a bit of Motorway, but largely chose an A road route back (London up to Aylesbury, Milton Keynes and A5 from there). Having said that it coped fine.
I'm not sure on the gearing, I need to check. One thing I'm amazed at is how many mods there are for the drz Very Happy

There's a dedicated UK DRZ forum: https://www.drz400uk.org and also thumpertalk (comes with all the downsides of a US forum but has most of the mods on there).

You mean owners who constantly drop them cause damage. I've never seen a bike decide it doesn't like it's engine cases.

You and me both. Getting one for a sensible price is quite a chore. A down geared SV or Monster puts you in similar hooligan territory with the added bonus if less tea leaves wanting them.
