Are there any mature novice riders/learners, in the Harlow, Essex area, interested in fair-weather biking locally. Just done my CBT and looking for some company to experience learning curve with. Isle of Man TT racers need not apply !!!

Not sure what you hope to learn from another novice, but maybe you could use group leverage to negotiate a discount on some proper lessons from a qualified instructor.

Why not see if the place where you did your CBT will let you post an advert on their noticeboard - and let us know what their reply was Smile

there is an inordinate amount of sh1t to sift through like 99% .. self flatio being rampant .. and more idiots that you can wave a stick at... but the 1% is there if you can be bothered to look.

best to ride by yourself for a season i found. You end up trying to keep up with other riders out of your comfort zone, missing your lines and getting target fixation on the back of their bike.

I passed my test at 30 so i dont know if that classes me as an old novice!?!

depends on where exactly you plan on riding ..
some of the more interesting moor or dales or lake roads are very desolate .. you would be unlikely to exceed the limit but could lie un discovered for a week with just the sheep for company ..
