Restricted A2 Licence Advice?

Hi all,
Been a fairly regular biker on my CBT now for two years but as friends move further away, I realise that I'm not going to be getting a car and really want to do the 400cc test (As I'm only 19, and can't do the full test till I'm 21).

A few questions -
1. How difficult will the practical really be?
2. A basic overview of the two practical parts?
3. I'll also be inheriting a Honda CB400 SF, early to mid 90's model... On the small chance that I pass (as I'm not looking to do the test until at least April), is it a good 400cc bike?

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated, I have all the correct riding gear and stuff, I just need the advice on the licence and the bike.

I believe super-fours produce 52bhp (by design) so your bike will need to be restricted for you to be able to legally ride it on an A2 licence. Nice bikes though. I learned on one and much preferred it to the ER-5 I (briefly) had when I passed.

The test is not hard if you can ride. There is, of course, an element of luck involved. If you've been riding for a couple of years on CBT you will probably find you're not learning to ride, you're unlearning bad habits.

During the DAS course you should get all the training needed to get you beyond test ready. Doing it yourself without training I would seriously suggest watching some mod 1's and putting the manoeuvres into practice before considering booking.
