What to do with PS2 / PS1 Games?

So, I opened a draw I haven't opened in a few years the other day and found this lot.

Ahhh man good times. I even have the PS2 under my draws. No PS1 though.

It seems a shame to lob this lot, my childhood right there! Laughing

Are there any uses for any of this now? I hear PS4 might be bringing back PS2 compatibility or is that complete bull? Wonder if it's worth selling as a job lot (if it can be sold...)

Charity shop or similar.
Lots of after school childcare clubs run by schools etc often have an old PS2 or Xbox etc, and would appreciate any appropriate games.

Just given away all of our old Wii games.
Might have made a tiny amount on them, but not enough to worry about.

Kept the PS2 and Buzz games and took them to school for the kids to play on.

They are next to worthless to sell, I would keep them in a box for another 20 years.

I still have my PS2 wrapped up with a few games and I intend on keeping it for as long as I'm alive. Imagine getting it out in 30 years time and just laughing at the inferiority of it compared to whatever is out at the time

I like to get my PS1 out every now and again and try to work out what's meant to be going on in a world where a triangle could be a bicep or a boob.
I have over 100 games for Xbox 360 that are probably worth an average of 50p now, so I've resolved to keep them until one of them turns out to be super rare. More likely to just get it out in 20 years time and explain to any potential offspring that it does talk to the Internet, but it needs a wire to do it.

I keep ALL old games and consoles. Must have about 200 games across the consoles.

When I have kids, they'll get them in chronological order. Starting with 8 bit gaming and working their way up. They will learn to appreciate games the way I did. Also - they are kids, they don't need gaming to be AAA release day games on ultra.

Stamping on tramps in PS2's The Warriors never gets old.

If you have a nice save data of replay you want to watch someday, I think you should keep the disc too. I must buy GT1 disk.

Yes, PS4 does look to be bringing PS2 support. Via emulation.

It's not confirmed whether you download selected PS2 content (and therefore pay for it) or whether the emulator will allow you to play your PS2 games, but it looks like the PS4 is getting PS2 support.
