Elloo

Heard this first on BBC radio 2 today:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-34916209

It's pretty obvious in this "campaign" we are limited by lack of valid targets, not an Insufficient air force.

But Hey, we didn't want to miss out on using our Brimstone Missiles.
They apparently cost £100,000 and I'd hate for them to go to waste

Worries me as it seems like it's a precursor, or a softner to a speech that starts "Ladies and Gentlemen of the United Kingdom. Tonight, we are officially at war." Use the language a few times, chuck the odd propaganda article about (awesome new armaments that don't kill innocents, for example...) then it won't shock the populace at large when the big reveal is made.

Sick

Well, we can't have them getting their hands on Saddam's WMDs. Remember, we never found where he hid them.

What is the alternative? Sit down round a table and have a chat? Education that they don't want and will stone anyone who learns anything? Give them money?

Impossible to be 'at war' with a non state. Technically.

But if Assad or Putin shoot down one of the 'West's' planes then there may be room for development. Assad is talking that way.
Only coz he has the backing of Putin's Mafioso (at the moment).

If we're at war with them then they must be a state, because we only go to war with states. Ipso facto, Q.E.D, e pluribus unum.

Not exactly but if cunts would stop buying oil from them and other cunts stopped selling them weapons it would be a good start.
I dare say Turkey would like to remain a NATO member just now seeing as the only reason Russia isn't stomping all over them is said NATO membership so the leverage is there for them to be TOLD, stop trading with ISIS.

War on Terror: fifteen years, hundreds of billions spent, hundreds of thousands of civilians killed. Net result the assholes we wanted dead have been replaced by new assholes.
Quote:
Those guys [in the Persian Gulf War] were in hog heaven, man. They had a weapons catalog, "What's G-12 do, Tommy?" "Says here it destroys everything but the fillings in their teeth, helps pay for the war effort." Well, shit, pull that one up!" "Pull up G-12, please." [sound of a missile launch, several beats, then an explosion]] "...Cool. What's G-13 do?"

War on Poverty: suspended as we don't have the funds. It's almost like billions are being pissed away elsewhere.
Quote:
"Now, you have to tighten your belts, because we, your leaders, mis-spent your hard-earned money."

War on Drugs: my personal favourite because of my friend Bill's observation
Quote:
I loved when Bush came out and said, "We are losing the war against drugs." You know what that implies? There's a war being fought, and the people on drugs are winning it

Bill died in 1994

EVERY time they mention who we are at war with on the news it always " So Called Islamic STATE" !!

That explains to me why it is the "So Called" now.
It's a made up name.

Isis? Isil? Sirian Rebels? It's a dirty great crock of oil smelling shit. Very Happy

Don't know that many people are. Loads of their stuff is US gear that was given to the Iraqi army. The Iraqi army literally ran away, and didn't even have the decency to destroy their equipment before doing so. Thus loads of nice hummers, tanks, artillery etc made it into the ISIS inventory.

Well, slunk. The ones with the courage of their convictions started yelling "Allahu akbar", put on their sand-ninja outfits and signed up with the caliphate.

Hey, silver linings though: nuns with guns. Drooling
