Been boot shopping today - I found some Sidis which accommodated my bunion. But Alpinestars and Belstaff were much too tight. ____________________ Current bike: K1100RS. Not a cat in hell's chance with any of those for me.
The only boot I ever managed to find that was remotely close to the right size for me was the (Edit: blame old age for the wrong boot type listed earlier ) Frank Thomas Tempest double zipped touring boots.
K width fitting and a high instep makes finding anything that fits my feet a tad tricky!!!

I've also had to go up slightly in sizes - normal shoes are 9.5 - 10, my Sidi Trial Zeros and A* S-MX6s are 11s.
I've always known Sidis come up a bit tight, so it came as no surprise that A* were the same, I just assumed it was a foreign boot thing. ____________________ Things get better with age; I'm close to being magnificent........

I have huge flat wide feet, struggled for ages to find a brand that fitted me.
Merlin and Frank Thomas get my vote for wide foot friendly. |

Sidi Black Rain were definitely too narrow for me. Did have a pair of something-or-others from Hein Gericke that were good, but lost one on Ben Lawers (don't ask! - and no, it had nothing to do with sheep. Or hedges.). Now in A* Web Gtx, which have plenty of room for me. ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

So I bought a pair of these https://www.icon1000.com/collection/icon-1000-elsinore-boot-2/ A good fit, comfy enough for longish walks, all the protection you could ask for, they can be resoled by any cobbler, and my trousers fit over them. Perfect really. ____________________ Current bike: K1100RS.
