Have a look round the forum, maybe even search for other threads from people who want to start vlogging. Likewise with the charitable donations idea.

Also brace yourself.

You don't need £2k, all you need is a go pro or such like.

"What I intend to do is to share these views I have accumulated in my vlogs and talk about current world events through the perspectives of the viewpoints I have come to acquaint myself with."

What makes you think people will be interested in that?

Let me get this right: you want people to just give you £2000 so that you can "self-actualise"?

Yet you're such a lazy fantasist that you haven't even created a single sample video to showcase whatever it is that you think makes it worth watching you?

You, sir, are a disgusting, worthless egomaniacal parasite. The only video I'm interested in seeing is of you being run over by a bus and popping your swollen head like a watermelon.

I think for me the main problem is that you want other people to donate their hard earned money while you sit on your arse and twiddle your thumbs and rake in the pounds, jog on. Get off your arse and work for what you want.

Tell me what you can offer than BaronVonGrumble or RJ cannot and I'll be tempted to watch.

..

Aldi have a camera for £30 and B&M for £25. Start at the bottom and work your way up, you'll loose less finding out it isn't for you or you aren't getting any viewers than spending 2k. Thumbs Up

Hey there BCF members!

As the title suggests, I am hoping to start a London-based motovlog. I am an 18 year old rider and I have been riding since I turned 16 on a 50cc V-Clic. These days I am riding a YZF R-125.

I would very much appreciate it if you could have a look at my kickstarter page to get a feel for what I'm hoping to do with my vlog at https://kck.st/1Q6Px1A.

If you have any questions I'll try to answer them as swiftly as possible!

i had to google self actualization
i liked this line.
Efficient perceptions of reality. Self-actualizers are able to judge situations correctly and honestly. They are very sensitive to the fake and dishonest, and are free to see reality 'as it is'.

sums this guy up really.

Sound Equipment - After doing some 'market research' and quite extensively looking at other vloggers' content, the general consensus amongst them was that the most important aspect of being a motovlogger was tuning your sound. For this, a helmet mounted microphone with some custom modifications is necessary.

A £15 microphone tucked under a cheekpad you mean?

ArcanPhox wrote:

Helmet - This may seem out of place considering I am claiming to be a regular rider, however, back when I purchased my helmet I did not consider mounting an action camera to it. As such, my current helmet is completely unsuitable both from a practical and logistical standpoint (e.g. there is no way to shield a microphone from the wind, or, to safely secure a camera). Furthermore, a big part of any vlog is establishing a bespoke 'persona' and I feel that for me, a big part of that would be to obtain/create a unique, remarkable and easily-recognisable helmet.

After all your "market research" you couldnt figure out when a mic is plugged in and tucked in your helmet the on camera mic is not in use, also what kind of helmet has nowhere to stick a camera?
Stop lying you just want a better lid.

ArcanPhox wrote:

Mounts - All this equipment needs to be mounted and transported daily, as such, I will need to obtain a variety of methods by which to secure my equipment as well as conveniently transport it.
Secondary Video Equipment - Part of the unique flair which I intend to pursue with my vlog is exploring both famous as well as more arcane (hence the Arcan) landmarks littered across London, England and the UK. To do so, equipment for content-making when away from my crotch-rocket will be required.

What else do you need other than a helmet mount and your smart phone? neither of those portable enough for you?

You've already provided more than enough entertainment for your 'audience' with this paragraph. Have you considered being a writer?

Its a vlog, not a hollywood blockbuster Laughing.

The purpose of Kickstarter is to raise funds for a project that may give a return to the investors. This is generally in the form of a product which the the investor believes they may find useful.
What I would like to know, is what return an investor may expect, given that any publication made will be freely available.

Monatize your youtube videos, and if you are as "successful" as I am.

You will earn slightly less money than the cost of the cameras that you smash. Thumbs Up
