Need suggestions regarding the car accident Mrs was involved in.

Some guy rear ended Mrs hatchback. She was stationary, the other party was doing 15mph ish. She recorded him admitting all of this on camera.

She says her neck hurts a little. You see where this is going...
So guys, what's your take on the subject?

This reminds me of a story in the local rag from last week.

A young lad and his girlfriend were apparently driving down a dual carriageway and got into a road rage incident with another mystery car. There was either some very bad reporting, the GF got things a bit mixed up, or this was some sort of insurance cover up.

The lad in question had just bought his shiny Focus ST, which unfortunately now has damage to the rear and the side (apparently from the 3-4 times this other car rammed into the side of them).

The GF said they were a bit sore the next day. (Kerching).

The only photo of the car shows damage to the rear bumper, which some of it on the left looks a bit low to have been caused by another car. There is also no mention of it hitting them from behind.

I know the stretch of road they were going down and it's got some cracking long fast weeping bends in between the roundabouts, all lined with Armco. It's popular with sports bikes and young lads in cars such as Focus ST's.... We used to nickname it the roundabout GP.

Could it be possible that the young driver cocked up and is blaming some hit and run driver, in order to lower his insurance increase for next year? Or doesn't it work like that?. I'm guessing a 22 year old in a Focus ST will already be quite steep.

Guys, the accident is real and so does the pain. No need for the rant.
I think that only the lowest of the low commits insurance fraud.
The question is "is living with the pain with no compensation worth it"

Ps: I think your inner pikey makes you think everyone else is a pikey as well. No, decent people do exist.

I was hit from behind on the bike at around 10-15mph, I was stopped, left foot down, right foot on brake.

Bike knocked from under me, I stayed stood (not sure if moved but stayed upright)

for the following couple of days I could not lift my daughter up (1yrs old at the time) and my neck and shoulders were stiff (started stiffening that afternoon)

Due to the above, I do believe whiplash can occur in low speed shunts, especially when one party was stationary, I ended up having physio.

I'd inform a general 'feel a bit stiff but will see how I feel after a hot bath and good night's sleep'

If, and only if, still sore next day would a claim be valid.

I was half way though my holiday (went two days after accident) before I could easily get out of bed in the morning and pick up my daughter, my wife and inlaws had to cope with daughter and suitcases through the airport as I couldn't lift them.

I honestly thought everybody claims for any kind of injury. If it was the case I would have though "why would I be an exception?".

TBH, this is a different thing altogether, but I've learnt at work from own experiences and watching others over the last few years, that if you are ever involved in a work accident even a road accident in my company, you are foolish if you don't make a personal injury claim straightaway.

If you don't, you will be very quickly investigated and the company will find a way of making sure whatever happened was your fault or though negligence or lack of H&S proceedures or not following a risk assessment or other hoops they will put in place after the event which you should have followed.

it's simple here now, get a claim in against a third party or the company straightaway, or expect often serious disciplinary action to be taken against you, and always have time off work sick with injury or health problems.
