It'll run like an utter bagowank if you remove the airbox. Superdreams have fussy diaphragm-free CV carbs and really like a predictable pressure differential between atmosphere and the venturi chamber. Just so you know.
I'm pretty confident that the wiring diagram you have posted there is NOT for a CB250N. It's almost certainly for a much earlier K-series CB250.
The CB250N has a proper, 3-phase reg/rec unit which was and still is well regarded as being an effective and reliable reg/rec. Until the advent of mosfet voltage regulators, a superdream reg/rec was THE choice to replace a dodgy one.
So go find your reg/rec. I suspect you'll find a roughly 6"x6" black metal box with cooling vanes on it. It has three yellow wires, a green, a red and a black/white.
If it looks like this, keep it. It's a good-un.

Your wiring should be more like this:

Also on a more personal note. A 250N superdream as a cafe racer? You're having a laugh right? It'd be the all day challenge breakfast greasy-spoon Cafe racer. They weigh a ton and the frame has all the aesthetic merit of... well... a mass-produced 1970's pressed steel commuter bike. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. Think how much more it'll be worth when it's sold on as "90% complete café conversion, was running great before it wasn't".
Eh, kickstart, so why not go the whole hipster and replace the battery with a big blob of capacitance? ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

That battery seem insanely priced.
I recently purchased one of these...
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Compact-Portable-Advanced-Protection-Flashlight/dp/B011U6Q0K6/ref=sr_1_29?ie=UTF8&qid=1449837515&sr=8-29&keywords=anker
It was £40 in the black friday sales. I don't know for certain but I imagine you could adapt it to use in a bike.
A quick comparison
£120 tart battery
120 CCA
6AH
£60 (or less if you shop around as I said I got it for £40)
400CCA
10AH
I'm sure there will be other cheaper options. ____________________ Well, you know what they say. If you want to save the world, you have to push a few old ladies down the stairs.
