Eat more salt, drink a lot of fluids. Thumbs Up

Definitely worth checking the blood though.

EDIT: DO NOT try to get the pressure up by drinking coffee and/or alcohol. It might kick it up a notch for awhile, but then it may drop even lower than it was, which is not good at all.

As always, the best thing to do is to have regular physical activity, do some sport.
Go to see your GP, he'll do the blood test first. You just might be low on something, doesn't have to be anything serious. In fact, when there's only a mild problem with low blood pressure, they don't even treat it, as it's pointless. There could be other things wrong, such as diabetes, which also reduces the blood pressure.

By the way, stress does raise the blood pressure, so this thread will help you a bit, I guess. Razz

I had higher blood pressure some time ago at my regular check up, and I was told to do exactly the opposite of what I told you. So I was told to eat less salt and drink less fluids. I was also advised that regular physical activity helps with stabilizing a normal blood pressure. Later on, we found out, I just didn't like doctors and that fiddled with my blood pressure. I think they call this the white coat syndrome. Wink Laughing

I don't eat salt as well, I mean I do not add salt to anything, it ruins the taste.

*Disclaimer, I am not a licensed medical doctor, all I tell you is what I was told by my GP. So, do not panic yet, go see your GP. Blood pressure is not a sore throat or flu. Too low blood pressure could cause you to faint, which is not cool when you are driving a car for instance. Thumbs Up

I know I have problems with blood production since I mangled my Femur years ago
was told I was slightly Anemic due to this which doesn't help
even though I don't exercise as such hauling a full PA & lighting rig about is the next best thing

and the reason I posted this is last night I passed out when I went for a piss
came to on the toilet floor with a cut to my ear and cheek
no warning the lights just went out took me 30 seconds when I came around to figure out where I was and what had happened

Definitely time to see a doctor. The faint could also be just from exhaustion or very low levels of sugar.

By the way, working your muscles is not an exercise that would help you. It might make your muscles grow, but it does not ''work'' your cardiovascular system at all. You need stuff like jogging, cycling, rowing and so on. You should work your muscles ''only'' when you need the strength. I for instance used to do 20 push ups every morning to get rid of my back pains. Doing the push ups firms your back and abdominal muscles, prevents from nerve spasms.

You need a 'G belt'.

And possible Inco-pants too. Embarassed

Hypotension is not as much of a problem as hypertension which is small comfort when you feel wabbit or dizzy.

Speak to Dr. as he/she will know best.

Avoid driving until you are controlled.

You wouldn't want to be as much of a total cunt as this fat baldy bastirt.

Having just read this it is a it late to say that you should have gone to A&E. I don't want alarm you, however......

Any loss of consciousness (especially when not caused by a traumatic event) is a red flag.

There is no way of knowing that it is low BP that caused you to collapse, there could be other serious causes.

You got away with it last night, next time, when you come round dial 999.

Please Praying

Was it the standing up that did it?

As a family, we generally have low blood pressure, I often go 'fussy' when I stand up, tirdness makes it worse.

Postural hypotension?

Doc said my BP is a bit lower than it should be esp for my age
but said I had a good strong heartbeat which is encouraging

I used to get the fuzzy vision / light headed warnings when it happened in the past
but fridays was just like a light going out and I felt fine before
and after if a little shaken

have to go for an ECG and a couple of other tests but says apart from that I seem healthy enough
didn't seem concerned with my weed smoking (I was honest with him)

What did you do on friday, all day long? Exhaustion combined with lack of food can cause this. My father fainted twice because of that. He didn't sleep for 25-30 hours, didn't eat much and spent 12 hours at work, got home and dropped on site, basically. They did all the test, even brain stuff, nothing. Just exhaustion of the organism, combined with his age of 52 years. Thumbs Up

I also suffer from low blood pressure and I also have passed out a few times when pissing. Pissing lowers your blood pressure and if it goes below critical then your lights go out and legs go from under you.

The cause of each of mine is dehydration after excess caffine, alcohol or Sun (the last one was the morning after getting sunstroke on holiday)

I now drink caffine free tea and coffee and have to avoid alcohol except wine as I have been diagnosed finally with a number of other issues.

Excercise will help your heart rate and circulation.
