Gilera Runner 125/172

Wanted Gilera Runner 125 2 stroke, a 172 would be nice as long as it is registered as 125, in other words a 125 with a bore in it.

Cosmetic condition does not matter, neither do age and mileage, as long as it ias mechanically sound and will pass MOT/has MOT.

If anyone can help me on my hunt ill be greatfull.

I've got just what you're looking for: I have an Italjet Formula 125 for sale. It's liquid cooled, 2000/W, 8500 miles, got 14bhp (standard 125 Runner is 12), dark metallic blue, good condition, new front tyre (and is better looking than the runner in my opinion ). MOT and Tax until September 2005. It's served me brilliantly and almost scared me after getting off a Honda CG125 having passed my test; it feels like it has twice as much power, and it's always nice to see the needle hit 80mph ) Amazing handling too compared to normal scooters as it has the one-sided 'SIS' anti-dive suspension.

I'm looking for around £780 if you're interested. I'll even throw in some L-plates (as it sounds like you've got a provisional licence?)

Yeah man im interested, although the price may be just out of my league, i am looking at about 5/600.

Can a 172 kit be fitted? if so i am very interested.

By the way yeah im on provisional and yeah i have to agree the italjet formula is very good looking, i know someone with a 50 in black.

Hi sorry man just done some research and found, a 172 kit cannot be added and a 140 kit for it costs loads, so sorry but ill have to give it a miss.

Hey man, I did have a 172 runner sp Matt black carbon done under 98mph, But i wouldnt buy it with one on cos they will most deffinatley of been ragged,

Best thing about 172 kit's tho has to be when the front lift's up from acceleration without any pulling on the handlebar's

If you live down london i know a few shop's that alway's have runner's in and sell 172's fitted for £250

Well it accelerates with 180 runners no probs its just the top end where they've got a bit more grunt. If it was an easy sale I might stretch to £600, but if you're still not interested fair enough mate, good luck with your search.

Yeah i realise being a twin that it has very good low and mid range power, its just i want it for a modding project and runners can have more done to them. Thanks bud!
