If you had to pick a bike from the same year you were born, which bike would you choose?

That's dead easy. I'd have a 350LC! (1980)

I think this little 350class 4 stroke engine built by Honda in '67 would suffice.

[edit]
Google tells me it's a 297cc sized engine.

I was going to say I have no idea what bikes were around in the year of my birth, and anyway, I wouldn't be interested in owning any of them. But then out of curiosity, I had a quick Google...and found this:

MV Agusta 500 Three - yes please!

1960 - I wouldn't really fancy a bike with no brakes.

Triumph or Norton twin. Maybe a Triumph Bonneville.

I could always sell it and use the money to buy a proper bike.

First thing I can think of that was any good then and is still relevant is the R100. I might be a year ot two out with this example, but I like the look of this. Needs some side boxes.

I struggle to find many road bikes I really love from the late 70's. Suzuki GT750 maybe? All my love of bikes begins in the very early 80's.

But this thing is green, mean and it was only 2mph slower than an early Hayabusa in 1978.

Not sure I'd want to ride it given a chance today though?

I have always been impressed by the sight and sound of older bikes hammering down Bray Hill at full tilt and I am guessing that a 1957 Gilera 500/4 DOHC from that era would be what would fit the bill Thumbs Up

https://i971.photobucket.com/albums/ae198/thechurch61/motorbikes/1957Gilera5004.jpg

But with the tyres and brakes not up to what I am used to, I will stick with what I already ride Wink Thumbs Up
