So there's someone who's got a van decked out to look like a speedsafety camera van which they use to try and slow drivers down in various locations, but in a particular area.

The problem isn't so much that they are doing it but they pick stupid locations to park the van, eg at a crossroads. This results in mong drivers slamming on their brakes when they finally see it or makes them stare at their speedo rather than looking out of the windows..

Report it or not?

It's begging to be vandalised. I'm sure the local youths would love to know it's not real po-po.

No it's been done a lot better than that one. Has speed camera logo on it, proper tinted window. Markings down the side aren't so good but the rear is made to look like existing vans.

Shall snap a pic of it next time...

tell him to come to my village

slow the arses doing 60mph down in a 30mph zone at half eight in the morning when kids are going to school and the main road is blocked because of yet another crash on the m5

which apparently isn't a problem as when they put one in at 11 o clock on a sunny day for an hour it only caught 5 people in an hour

It's not the PoPo who operate the vans it's subcontracted by local authorities.

But collecting any fines a fake camera van ever imposed might get the PoPo's attention. Smile

We have ctuns who fkinugc 'FLY' through our village at 50 who really need shot in the face/fcuked up the arse or at least the backs of their legs slapped.
My main issue with this is that the cooncil decided to put speed cushions all along the village and a chicane at one end which is a fckiung arse to negotiate as no cnut knows what Priority means and we the residents have the added drama of buying a car that can straddle the bastirt cushions too. Rolling Eyes
Shoot the speeders who take the pish is a much better solution.
There is no need for speed in built up areas.
Shot in the face. Twisted Evil

I understand people don't like others driving at speed through their villages at speeds over 30, but this situation is a dual carriageway with a 50 limit imposed on it.

The van as positioned at a junction of an exit on the left which is opposite a gap for the other side of the carriage way to pass through. My issue is not that the fake speed van exists, but simply that it's left in a dangerous position distracting drivers, making them stare at their speedos and not watching for potential hazards / people trying to nip across.

Next time I'll turn off, park up and snap some pictures.
