On the whole I loved it...

Good
Nostaglia, seeing X wings and the Millennium Falcon was great, lots of references and what not.
The Cast, believable engaging characters love the new interested to find out more about them.
Action, on point done right.
Lightsaber fights, a lot more believable the prequels looked pretty but rarely did it look like one guy was actually trying to hit the other.
Knights of Ren, really want to know more.

Not so good
The superweapon, OTT also however could they see planets blow up that weren't in the same star systems. A bit too Death Star too.
Phasma, totally wasted, said 3 lines and did nothing, her presence did not affect the film one iota. Hopefully will be expanded.
Snoke, I don't really like him ATM, hopefully will be expanded.
The galaxy, what is going on? Both the Rebels and First Order seem like shadows of their former self, who holds the power in the rest of the galaxy.

Most of the points are nit picky it was great I'm eagerly awaiting the next ones.

I loved it, but was dissapointed by some identical plot twist story line,
I hope rey is not Luke's daughter
They need to expand abit,
Good twist with kylo being solos son when everyone else thought it would be rey who was related

In the books the (one of the) new big bad was always Han/Leia's Son, except his name was Jacen, (Ben was Luke's kid), it was also Jacen's Twin Jaina that finished him off in the end. I reckon Rey is more likely another Solo Baby, although I hope not I want more suprises.

I enjoyed watching it but i thought the script was lazy and showed me nothing new and mirrored too much of episode 4

and dont get how a non force person and a force person who has had no force training are able to better a trainnied EMO sith despite his bad injury, its still no contest............meh

in fact that sith was so EMO it feels like he just got the train from dawsons creek into starwars!

the knights of ren just look like siths to me with a different name lol

i enjoyed it and will watch again despite my moans!

Agreed very similar plot, what more can they do apart from find out about Luke, reys back story etc why han and Leia split....
Can't see rey being a solowalker , something's is pointing toward more Skywalker , with the lightsaber/obviously stronger than the sith, and Leia and her cuddling....

I think Luke is still a virgin!

Still probs the best effects I've seen very believable.

I think they're going a different way with it - The guy is young, he's still struggling to know which path he wants to go. As he said, he feels the pull from the light and he is fighting it.

He's still new, he's learning, and has a very long way to go. His arrogance makes him think that he's this demi-god with massive power, but he quickly learned he's not. His loss will push him to resent everyone, and work harder to become more powerful and this is the development we will see through the next two episodes. In contrast to the series just having super powerful bad guys with an agenda, we'll actually get to see him become powerful.

I think Rey is Luke's daughter, but can't understand how nobody (Even her) cannot know this.

I'm not a Star Wars fan, I have seen them films, but they didn't do much for me. I only saw this because my friend had a spare ticket and wanted someone to go with. That being said, this is one of the best films I've seen in a long time, I thought it was extremely well done.

It was all the major plot lines from the original 3 films.

Oh its not a death star... It's a super mega death planet... On we must use x wings to destroy it but first we shut down the shields.

Feck off.

Leia... I...am...your son

Whatever

C3P0 can fuck off too.

Just got in from cinema.
I reckon Phasma is Reys mum, and was someone Luke hung out the back of when he was a good 20 or so years
younger back when he was training up the new batch of Jedi but before he disappeared, Maybe to protect her?Question
There's definitely more under that rock for sure. Loved Kylo Rens anger tantrums. Proper badguy until the mask
came off revealing an inbetweeners looking motherfucker. Briefcase Sith Wanker!

Gripes...
Not many, but why was Boyega out of breath in every close up? Got on my tits that did as did his septic accent.
Fisher seemed a bit off her tits, (nothing new I know) but she looked dazed and bewildered most of the time.
And she (as Leia) seemed to get over Solo quite quickly.

14 hours. Pah! The only one I've only seen once is Episode 7.

EPs 4 to 6 I must have watched at least 20 times each, and EPs 1 to 3 a good 6 to 10 times each or thereabouts.
I'll probably go again next week to go multiple on 7 as well. I've been following this story ever since I was 5
years old. Have watched all of them plus the 'enhanced' re issues in the cinema and all in their opening week.

Watched it tonight.

The whole way through I was all like,
https://i.imgur.com/n8Wy9yg.gif

Loved it.
Feels, it was full of feels.
Using the Millennium Falcon to bring Luke back.
O M F G
I was choked up.
It was everything I wanted it to be and more.
Unlike the ep1/2/3 fuckups, which were aimed at kids, this felt more geared towards those who remembered watching ep 4/5/6.

I felt like the 5y/o kid who was amazed and speechless that watched ep 4 many many years ago.

It was emotional, exciting and beautiful.

++Good.

Addition:- Carrie Fisher'd botox though.... what the fuck!

Loved it !
Want to see it again !!!

Massive credit for not giving NOTHING away in the promo material.
Specially how Rey was portrayed in posters / trailers as a side character but turns out to be the Padawan Very Happy

Few gripes , but for every 1 fault I have 10 moments that made me grin like a idiot.
The feels, ALL the feels

Feel sorry for whoever is directing Ep8

I think Kylo Ren is perhaps going to be more interesting than Vader. Here he is a naturally talented if undisciplined and impetuous user of the dark side. I think his defeat and injury at the end of Ep7 will make for an interesting start for Ep8.

I am also looking forwards to the expanded universe films.

For example Rogue One which will be set between Ep 3 and Ep4. Coming Next December.
