I think that Sundays are cursed for me...I have just arrived home from a lengthy 1 mile trip, and half it was walking!!

...the bike seemed a little bit harder to start today, but I attributed that to the cold etc...and I had to keep it on choke to start the journey...half a mile later, stopped at some traffic lights, the engine died...tried to restart a few times, couldn't, so I wheeled it into the pub car park and tried starting it for the next 5 minutes...no luck...so I had to wheel it home, which was harder than I thought!...I did stop halfway through and try to start it again, but nope....

...when I got home I thought "what the hell" and tried to start it...and you've guessed it, the damn thing started...by this time though I was tired and frustrated...luckily(?) my embarassment was reserved to just a handful of people who drove passed...

I might take it out later when it gets warmer...I really need to get some miles on it...

Yeah, that happened to me too once.
After sharpishly pulling away from a set of traffic lights, it just conked out!
It wouldnt start again. Luckily though, i left it on the road side for about 3minutes, whilst i decided what to do, then tried to start it again, and it worked! Wierd. Confused
It has never happened to me since then. Smile

Nope, full tank...but everything's ok now...I just had a quick buzz around, trying to avoid pesky mopeds...

I think this happened cause u flooded ur carbs (mayb not in purpose),

if it happens again u can wait a bit till it clears up then itll start, or
u can take ur spark plug out and clean it then put it bak in and itll start..

Dont leave the choke out too long.

Cheers TJ...is it just a matter of time then?...does it actually clear itself up after a little while?

Typically, this was the first time that I actually rode out with the choke on, mainly 'cos I didn't bother warming it up properly...but I only went half a mile, is this too far?

Also, what is actually regarded as "thrashing"?...I haven't taken it over 6k in any gear, but was just wondering...
