2014 R6 stolen
I've had my 2014 R6 stolen, resulting in the steering lock
being broken, the bike started after wiggling the key but I presume I
didn't quite get it into the off position when pulling out the key.
Stored for a day yet never turned back over, battery flat???
Immobiliser stopping it working??? What will it be...today I have been
bought a battery for Xmas but if that doesn't work???
Also.... What happens to to the red key? I presume I need a new
steering lock but the ignition is fine??? I'm lost?? My ignition was untouched

Ok. So your post is;

- Broken steering lock.
- Possible damaged to ignition (OP says not physical.. possibly wiring?).
- Wont turn over after sitting for one whole day (and counting).

Has (not confirmed if in possession or on order) a new battery and hasn't tried it yet.

Zero damage to wiring or barrel
In possession of new battery but can't get to the bike just yet
I'd like to know if putting the new battery in will the bike start, will I do any damage to anything by putting new battery on?
Does the immobiliser kick in stopping it working once I put the battery on?

Did you even test the old battery, or even try charging it, or possibly using another 12v battery?

talk to jivebunny(cant remember what he calls himself this week)
he had an imaginary r6 so should be able to offer 1st hand advice about any problem you can imagine.
dont let him ride it though,he does like a wall.

Immobiliser is part of the ECU. Battery doesn't come in to play with it... bike has power... immobiliser is used.

Immobilised is controlled via a passive RFID reader attached to the ignition barrel. Even if you give the bike power without using the key, you will not start the bike because there is no security key being transmitted via RFID for the immobiliser.

Why would you need a red key? Did they steal your keys? Only a few people have the knowledge to extract the red key information from the ECU. You can't order a new red key.
