So it's no longer stolen?

Can anyone translate the rest?

So it's stolen and recovered and not stolen?

bought a battery for Xmas but if that doesn't work???

Would be beneficial to everyone providing an answer and yourself to try the new battery first.

Ok. So your post is;

- Broken steering lock.
- Possible damaged to ignition (OP says not physical.. possibly wiring?).
- Wont turn over after sitting for one whole day (and counting).

Has (not confirmed if in possession or on order) a new battery and hasn't tried it yet.

Workshop section?

Broken steering lock...yes
Zero damage to wiring or barrel
In possession of new battery but can't get to the bike just yet
I'd like to know if putting the new battery in will the bike start, will I do any damage to anything by putting new battery on?
Does the immobiliser kick in stopping it working once I put the battery on?
Sorry if I'm not explaining properly but that's why I'm in here for a topic I'm unsure on

Listen up Sir Jay of Fucktardus Maximus.

You are throwing a lot of "what ifs" and "maybes" about the place and not really giving any specifics at all.

How do we fucking know if your buggered bike will start if you fit the new battery, or what do to if it doesn't?

Bit of advice.
Try being less demanding in your posts, more specific and less of a whiny bitch... because that last bit doesn't go down well here.

So go fit the new battery and see what happens.
If it works then blowies all round.
If not, then start fault finding. Does the 2014 R6 not display fault codes?

Good luck.

Addition:-
Seems that they are a bit more touchy feely with you on the MCN "Safe Space" forums.

I have several bikes and can afford to insure them all year round, pity you couldn't or you wouldn't have to whine for help. Loser.

You should have insured it fully comp if you are so loaded as you say. Use your money to go to your trusted garage and get it professionally fixed. Why to bodge it? No money?

The way you articulate I very much doubt that you have any well paid job. These days everybody can 'afford' a brand new motorcycle on Hire Purchase or PCP.

He traced its tyre tracks to find it apparently...

I really think we're being asked how to start a (badly) stolen bike.

Immobiliser is part of the ECU. Battery doesn't come in to play with it... bike has power... immobiliser is used.

Immobilised is controlled via a passive RFID reader attached to the ignition barrel. Even if you give the bike power without using the key, you will not start the bike because there is no security key being transmitted via RFID for the immobiliser.

Why would you need a red key? Did they steal your keys? Only a few people have the knowledge to extract the red key information from the ECU. You can't order a new red key.

Thanks, I shall try that....going to it over the Xmas break.....the car that was on the drive where the bike was, suddenly isn't around anymore, but I suspect they just got a different one and decided to store it elsewhere like I had to with my bike being paranoid it may disappear again...

His bike is paranoid.
