Im sure there is one,
Bound to be a simple answer,

but i cant get the seat off my new nsr so is there a knack to it?

can anyone help Question

put in the key, pull down the realease....and then it should pop open (if the same as other NSRs which i believe it is) the release is located brhind the key/lock thingy.

What ^ said. It occasionally gets stuck, so try pulling down the release thing and jiggle the seat about till it comes loose.

There is a bit of a knack to it... just wiggle it and it sort of slides backwards and up!

rite, seat now removed

i didnt want to force the mechanism when i wasnt sure which way it was surposed to be pulled,

it was just very stiff.
