Start with adjusting the headlight and go from there. I use cheap bulbs, tried expensive ones, no difference what so ever, at least not worth the extra money.
EDIT: As you came here for a actual answer, go for the more expensive one. The placebo effect gets stronger with the mount of money you've invested in it. Plus, what nowhere.elysium says, blue colour is actually worse in the real life. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

Yellow glass of a bulb is more restrictive, than a transparent one. In other words, less light gets on the road from a yellow bulb, than from the same bulb with completely transparent glass. IF you ride on wet/snow, the yellow bulb is actually better for your eyes, which is one of the reasons they still use those in the fog lights.
The less light on the road thing was why yellow bulbs were banned in the EU (or at least the most of the countries), french got really pissed.
NOW, a standard bulb is not yellow at all. The colour of the light does make it a bit yellow compared to the modern LED or bluish light bulbs, but it is not.
This is a yellow bulb:

Think of it this way, the bulb is just a source of light. The trick is in the reflector/projector and where it is pointed. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

I've always used nightbreakers in the car and bike. The lifespan isn't as long as standard bulbs and Osram openly admit that on their packaging, yet I've not replaced the nightbreaker on my bike in the 18 months I've had it. Last one I replaced in the car was december 2014.
In the car I regularly get flashed while driving over crests in the dark where oncoming drivers are briefly in the beams
The MOT garage popped a standard Lucas bulb in the car and the difference between left and right was considerable. £12 a year well spent IMO, people spend more on air fresheners. ____________________ Yamaha FZ6 S2 |
