New Year approacheth, time to start thinking about what I'm going to be doing on the bike this year

Got a shit-load of money (by my standards) to blow, no good in the bank, sod the future

1st off, it's time to stop talking and buy me that Street Triple I've been thinking about for so long

And now I'm settled in my new home, I can at last start thinking seriously about a European tour. Nothing planned for certain yet, time to get out the maps and start researching

As well as exploring up here in the north, Scotland etc. If I work this out carefully, could have a full year off to do stuff

Hmmm? I might have to modify my plans for this year as I am the opposite to you in that I don`t have two brass beans to rub together at the moment .

I will still have a bit of a mini tour somewhere, but it might not be so far away or for so long.
Looks like a long week-end in Lincolnshire or a few days in Norfolk.

Definitely doing a euro trip this year. Planes keep changing but my current favorite idea is to ride down the west coast/side of France through Bordeaux then across to Spain; as I fancy doing the N260 west to east, visit Barcelona, then either ride across the Millau bridge back through France, or if we're still feeling adventurous ride through Marseilles towards Nice and go back through the French Alps then home again.

Got hard pannier luggage for the VFR and gonna start strength training to try to get rid of a niggly lower back and shoulder pain i've had for too long now.

That may happen in August, between then and now I fancy lots of mini weekend camping trips to the Lakes, Dumfries and Galloway, Wales etc.

NC500 looks awesome.

I also want an off road bike money permitting, but I also want/need to move out of the parent's house as well as a priority.

I really fancy a track day on the Viffer as well, or at least some advanced rider training.

Hate only having 20 days holiday per year!

In May a group of 12 *friends are heading down to Cornwall for a week.
Staying in mobile homes but I'll be taking the tent just in case I fancy a night away from the beer and farting.

Other than the BCF BBQ weekend I haven't planned anything.
I may go to Oliver's Mount and also been threatening to see my uncle race his old Lotus.

I fancy doing 190mph(ish) legally.

Hopefully Cadwell and Anglesey track days. Got fuckloads of bike stuff to do.

1100 carbs to rebuild with OEM needles and emulsion tubes to cure poor idle.

400 fork rebuild and also rebuild spare carbs.

350 new cush drive rubbers and bearing, sort leaking tacho drive.

Put X5 back together.

The main holiday will be Northern California and Oregon at the end of June, so no euro tour on the bike this year

Need to sort something out for September though - maybe Ireland on the bike for week

Add an RG500 to the garage. In all probability, due to the prices it may have to be an RG400 but over time I will do a 570 conversion to it.

Definitely try not to crash Probably sell the MT-03 in the spring, only done about 2 thousand miles and crashed it twice, think it deserves a better owner

In my head I'd like a Hypermotard 796, or maybe an MT-09. Realistically I'll probably get a 250-400cc, would like to try a 2-stroke but doubt I'll find one for sensible money.

Buy a new bike.

Eurotour. Currently booked up around two weeks heading up to Oslo then back down to Copenhagen and ferry down to Rostock. I'm a bit stuck from there though, debating if I want to head west and go to Amsterdam again for a few days or further south and go back to Nurburgring. Decisions decisions!

Going across to eastern europe, Croatia, migrants permitting.

I might buy the cleanest V max that isn't silly money and tart it back up to concours and see how it fairs as an investment. Always liked them.

Bit pricey but only 9000 miles.
