Yamaha ew50 slider help with clocks

My apologies if this doesn't go in the correct place I'm new here.

Over the past year I've been rebuilding my ew50 slider, painted it the colour of my choice and all the engine works sweet, up and running and ready to go, my problem is I don't have the original clocks (I did have broken ones but they have been mistakenly thrown away 😠) and I can't seem to get the indicators to work and am wondering if I needed the clocks to make them work ie complete connection or something. Headlight works, and brake lights work along with the horn. Please help I so want to ride her !
