I'm not totally sympathetic, though the driver was a prick for sure, the overtake at the beginning wasn't exactly smooth and biker had plenty of time and space to let the car pass.

Why did he rev the bike as he overtook him at the lights?

Obvious something has occurred previous to that...

At 0:53 the rider is in lane 2 then squeezes the car in lane 1 when he had a clear opportunity to pull further to the right to let the driver past then pull to the left & take refuge between parked cars.

Many opportunities for the bike to fuck off into the distance but instead he waits around looking for a fite and then he failed a brake test. Laughing

I'll often rev if I think it will help someone notice me. Though I do think 1 car length filters are usually quite pointless.

Because the lights changed to green and it took the driver 7 seconds to move off and he only started moving as the bike came alongside.

It would be interesting to see a minute or so of footage prior to what we were given, often speaks volumes.

Whatever happened the cager is looking at failing to stop at the very least, possibly dangerous driving at the most, more likely careless driving as he'll have some excuse for the hard stop.

the second the car is passed why not just back off, hook a left and get the hell out of dodge, there does seem to be more to then this then we have been shown, the rider is very nervous after he has gone thru the lights, loads of head and mirror movement for at first no real reason, as he was way ahead of the car, he knew something was coming.

Or, maybe a more experienced rider wouldn't have got into the situation in the first place. He overtook the car and then just kinda hung around, he didn't make further progress. Rolling Eyes

I wonder if the rider would have behaved differently if he didn't have a gopro camera running. He tried to provoke a reaction and got more than he expected.

I fairly agree, but still not an excuse to slam to a halt in front of the rider for forced rear penetration.

Maybe not, but you can be fully licensed up without any real practical experience.

For the same rider, same bike, same experience and the same situation, adding an L plate is harmful. It (IME&O) gets you rage-overtaken, and tugged by the fuzz. I can't see that they serve any practical, positive purpose on bikes being ridden soLo.

got to admit the riding wasnt the best, seemed more interested in the car behind than anything else on the road. Fair enough we all get angry but once he had overtaken i'd have chilled out and got on with my ride.

Car driver obviously a nutter though, never win on a bike against a car, i'd have pulled over or just got out of there.

either way, hope the driver gets caught and punished.
