Can some one help... I recently purchaced a sym jet4 50cc to travel to work, and it only did 30mph so I just purchased a technigas gp4 exhaust as I was told it will take the speed to 40mph I've fitted it now it's only doing 20 and it's dead boggy when you start reving it.. Very grateful for any information cheers

its doing this because its getting the wrong mixture now

need to re jet the carb and possibly think about changing rollers

its not as simple as just sticking an exhaust on

It's a 50cc scooter, so it's almost certainly restricted to 30mph to meet the regulations for being a moped.

It'll be more that just changing an exhaust to get it any faster, and depending on your licence, what you tell insurers etc could land you in a whole heap of hassle with the old bill.

But unlikely it will.

Erm, you definitely need to change the rollers for a start.
