Move over the raspberry Pi. Looks like the next gen pocket money PC is coming in 8 weeks. Only this one will come with 4k HDMI out and ability to power itself via built in lipo charger as well as ac power. 64bit arm Cpu and a gig of ram with Bluetooth 4, twin usb2 ports and Ethernet connections built in. Its probably not as project orientated as the pi but looks like its got a head start with the ability to run android 5.1 as well as Linux so will be a lot easier to get use as a portable computer/media streaming etc using the current apps available

Could be useful for 'thin client' applications - nothing else at this price point with those specs that I've seen.

Oh and; to my mind this is much more 'interesting' than the Pi, actually bringing something not available at the price point to be available for all.

Looks promising as a between-box, NAS -> Kodi (formerly xbmc) -> to TV. etc. Thumbs Up

the r-pi i had (early one) seemed to "max out" on HD streaming from my NAS to tv.

Hopefully come down once it's released.

Could also be a nice 'bike computer' - GPS with remote aerial, separate screen (maybe a high fast refresh e-ink or other similar not back lit display), tracker, alarm, lap timer etc.
