Hey

picked up the R6 yesterday....it was raining and cold and the roads were horrible and slippery but i still cant think of a time when ive had more fun......after to years of riding the same bike the R6 is a breath of fresh air and an awesome machine and reminded me why i love biking so much and despite the worst of the british weather it is still fun !!

Just wondered what everyone else thought of their first time on a new bike ??!?!?!

When I picked the CBr up it was wet and miserable, the road was covered in inch thick mud so I was thinking:
"please dont drop it, please dont drop it, please dont drop it ...".

Laughing

Wet and cold February, in the depths of a winter confidence crisis and feeling very high up. Laughing

Was just glad to get it home in one piece, I think it wasn't until the next day when the sun was shining that I started to enjoy it.

The first time I rode my gsxr, I was really quite nervous - for the first five minutes Very Happy It was a cold February day (much like today in fact) and I'd never ridden a sportsbike before; I remember being surprised by just how balanced and smooth it felt in comparison to an ER5 or CG125, and how easily it turned.

I think I ended up doing about 50 miles on it, when I'd expected to do maybe 20 at most before needing a breather just to collect my thoughts/calm meself Shocked Very Happy Very Happy

My first time on the town bike was in the local cemetary (a long time ago), me and a few mates tossed (a coin) and I went second, it wasn't pretty. Sick

I picked my bike up on a crappy day as well last october. It was just really misty.
I took it out for a spin and found myself riding down to peterborough (from newcastle) so put like 500 miles on it in the first two days.....lol

picked up my gsxr400sp from the garage

after someone tried to steal it before i had chance to get my mate to take it in to get it restricted

ended up being recovered and then picked up by the garage

nice sunny day in august day off work took it for a 60 mile ride out

over the cat 3 times into buxton e.t.c

loved the sound of the 4t inline four compared to the 2 stroke rs125

spent most of the time just thinking damn this sounds good

and having low down power even though it's restricted to 33 bhp
