Digital Multi-tracker

Upgrading mine and only two seem to foot the bill: Zoom R16 and Tascam DP-24.

Anyone used either or both?

I've had a Zoom MRS 1044 for years but it's too old, bulky, and buttons are faded. The R16 is cheaper and will do all i want, but I'm sure at nearly £200 more the Tascam should be better quality and/or easier to use?

the Tascam looks a good unit and Tascam are reasonably solid bits of kit

my Behringer desk just died so need to replace it, but I use the M Audio 1010 digital interface
so any decent desk will do ( I have 5 desks but all way too big for home use)
