I happen to own one, registered in 2010...it's got a carb and that concerns me. It's also concerning how rare these are in the UK, so far online I have found 1 and contacted the owner but he sold it on and said it was is sons who he isn't in contact with - ugh. I bought it with little to no knowledge for buying bikes, it's my first. It has zero service history, only one MOT pass, the first being in may 2015. Any ideas, is it a dodgy import, should I get shot of it? Bit worried!

You can do a background check on it if you are really concerned but Im in a similar situation and it turns out mine is just a Japanese import so so is slightly different spec. This doesnt lower the value of the bike at all or anything so dont be worried about that

Well.

Insurers ask you if it's an official UK model, which it isn't. Even if the parts are fully available they may still weight the cost, because they are idiots. In some cases (not this one) they may not even have that model and year combination on their lists.

You'll have to be a bit more careful when ordering parts. My primary concern now when buying any vehicle is to check that parts are readily available.

At the same price and condition, I'd go with an official UK model every time.

In this case though, there's a birrion of these things around worldwide, and likely a lot more carbs than FI. Parts will be available.

YBR125G is a off road look version of YBR125.
It has
-hand guards
-handle bar bridge and pad
-fork boots
-plastic under engine guard
-both kick and electric starter
and
-rear carrier is black not chrome
-shift pedal is normal type (not heel and tow type)
-block patern tyres
