honda xr125l or kawasaki eliminator 125???

Recently lost my beloved Honda cg125 and I am looking for a new bike to replace it. Found two fantastic condition bikes for around the same price and wanting to know which one is known as the better, reliable, faster, mpg and all that. Thank you.

Honda xr125l or Kawasaki eliminator 125!

XR's have held their value surprisingly well, so might be a wise investment depending on how much it's. I wouldn't have another, awful vibrations and the fork dive's enough to put me off. You'd probably get pulled over less on the Eliminator as well.

All I am kinda asking is a general opinion of which bike is overall preferred. Honda xr125l is well looked after and is £860 the Kawasaki eliminator 125 is the same well looked after but has had a matte black paint job all over at £795.
Just wanting a good honest verdict of what each bike is like

Who do you imagine has ridden both of them for long enough to give a reasoned comparison?

One's a psuedo-offroader, the other's a psuedo-cruiser. Neither is extreme, both will do as commuters. But I don't believe that they both appeal to you equally. How could they?

Even if they did, they'll both be well used at those prices, so do yourself a favour and buy on actual condition.

What does "well looked after" mean? How many miles have they done? How many owners? Is there any record of them being serviced? What state are the consumables on each bike? New tyres, chain, sprockets, battery and fork seals could run you half of those asking prices.

There's no reason not to, except for the actually real consideration that pikeys love 'em. If you "lost" your CG to theft, I'd prioritise security over everything else.

I know it's not an accurate measure, but I never had anyone try to steal mine, and that's parking it on a dodgy council estate. I got the impression the XR didn't have much street cred, had a lot more attention with the MT-03 Shifty

My old XR125 was great, didn't have any problems either with attempted theft etc.
And I sold it for more than I bought it for, so value wise they seem to hold their own.

get a honda msx 125

mine does 125mpg now after run in and petrol is £4 a tank which lasts 120 miles before reserve
does 60mph and is very stable and the fueling is very smooth

servicing is dead easy loads of vids on youtube how to do it

Noob question again, what is a green lane? Also I currently have a hire Yamaha ybr125 2015 model and I think it sucks so I think anything would be either on level or better

That's one annoying thing about having a dirt bike, people ask you if you've taken it off road a lot (normally with a smug look).

Not ridden a YBR but are they that different to a CG? IIRC they have a couple less horsepower but a 2015 model's probably going to be on a par with any old XR/CG. Also you know the XR is just a CG engine in a dirt bike frame right? If you were going for a DT then I could see it being something different, but all the 4-stroke 125's are pretty similar.
