In Germany these types of quadricycles are allowed to drive at maximum speed of 45 km/h, or 30 m.p.h. They conducted a crash test: a frontal collision between a (very small) Renault Twingo and a quadricycle (JDM Albizia), both cars driving 25 m.p.h. As you can see the results of this frontal crash were dramatic for the quadricycle:

Don’t you agree it would be plain suicide to drive this kind of car by a maximum speed over 60 m.p.h. in the UK? For instance the Mac500 reaches 60 m.p.h. Microccar now offers you a real killer car that reaches 75 m.p.h. and that enables you to drive on the highway: https://www.micro-cars.co.uk/specs.html

All the best,
Paul

Rather ride in an wheelie bin.

Hi

And how do you think most people would survive in a head on accident between 2 bikes with a closing speed of 50mph.

The idea is not to crash.

If you intend to crash then buy a Volvo, but a better idea would be to keep off the road so you do not take anyone else with you.

All the best

Keith

Ah but how would the volvo SIPS system stand up to being hit by my 2 ton Landrover?

Your right though, don't crash. I always thought a 6 inch spike sticking out of the steering wheel would discourage people from crashing but the TRL wouldn't listen to me Sad

My dad used to have a robin hood caterham replica.

1.6l engine, but it weighed about the same as an empty crisp packet. Some of those cars wheelie.

Having watched it being built, I certainly would not like to crash in that. No crumple zones, certainly no air bags, some seat belts and a roll bar are the 1% between certain death and permanent paralysis.

You read the website wrong:

Quote:
MAXIUMUM SPEED 75km/h

75 km/h = 47 mph

But still deadly in a frontal crash.
