Runs windows from USB 3.0 not SSD

Oright guys.
Is it possible to boot windows from a 128gb USB 3.0 device like an SSD?
My read/write times are much quicker than my wd black caviar drive atm only 500gb
I do have a wd green which is 1tb but read/write times are well slow
Tried using the 1Tb drive as I cloned it but windows was laggy and took ages to boot up.

Just wondering if I can have my main windows 10 on USB 3.0 and run all games from 500gb drive

I am looking to invest inba SSD in the near future also a 2tb drive

Any recommendation's
Cheaper the better!

Do you know if I would still be able to access steam folder from the other HDD easy enough

If you're going to do this then you'll need to have another drive to write page file and temp files To. Else these will thrash the use drive and wear it out quicker than normally.

If its just a temp idea / playing don't worry...
