First of all hi,as I'm new to the forum
Did a quick search and couldn't see any recent threads about this topic, but apologies if I've missed the obvious...
I'm looking at buying a bike via eBay and am weighing up the logistics as its a good distance away.I have put in a cheeky bid which looks like it may be accepted and will be doing an HPI check etc...
One of the options is a specialist courier that will check that all is ok document wise, contact you if not and pick it up and deliver to your door.A quick search has found PJS Traswift https://www.motorcycledeliveryservice.co.uk/
They seem to have good reviews, but was wondering if anyone had either used this company or can recommend another.Cheers! |

So suspish, Paddy. OP looks legit, and the question is reasonable enough.
The suggested company is saying all the right things, and this gives them credibility: "PLEASE NOTE WE NO LONGER OFFER SERVICES INTO OR OUT OF SCOTLAND".
Any why would you? Pseudo nation of stunted savages always trying to pass off their funny-money as real currency. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

There's always www.shiply.com. When I was considering buying a bike unseen over the internet I got a decent enough quote through them (in fact I got several). ____________________

Well,my bid was accepted and I've opted for PJS transwift to courier. They have quoted £150 for the pickup and have been in touch with the seller to arrange a suitable date,so fingers crossed all goes well.
It's not an ideal situation to blind buy and time will tell if I've cocked up!
Thanks for your input chaps-even to Paddy, you doubting Thomas you!
Took me a while to work out the text talk-still don't know what the fritter thing means though! xx |

I have had a bike recovered by SOS Motorcycle Recovery before. They offer services for bikes transportation as well as being a recovery company.
They handled my bike with great care, despite its poor condition, and had the right equipment to keep the bike properly secure and safe during transit.
No idea on what they'd cost to transport a bike, but I do know it's a company that I wouldn't be concerned about handling my bike ____________________ 2004 R1 & 2018 XSR900 |
