A town to stay a night in Belgium. South east of Brussels but not as far south as Arlon as heading along to the Mosel Valley. Also want two nights in the Mosel but not Cochem. Don that twice now. So looking for a places Cochem size with good camp sight and pubs.

Please dont say Trier. Its a shit hole.

Cheers Thumbs Up

I stayed in Bastogne for my first night of my euro trip, it is a nice town around 25 miles north of Arlon and close to the border with Luxembourg. I had great fun on the roads just over the border, they were absolutely fantastic.

I ended up in a Best Western there for £70 for the night which I felt was alright, there may be better/cheaper accommodation available but for me it was adequate.

I'll second Bastogne. I stayed in this place and they have motorcycle parking too. They have nice rooms, a decent breakfast and a good pizzeria attached Thumbs Up The roads across the north of Luxembourg past Clervaux to the Mosel were excellent.

If you're bored with Cochem (it's my favourite first/last night stopover from/to the Hull ferry), Boppard in the Rhine gorge is a nice little town. This place is a nice hotel and popular with British bikers.

Heidelburg, the Neckar valley (very pretty) and the fantastic museums at Speyer and Sinsheim are all relatively nearby too Cool
