Hello everyone, i will be 16 in july and i am really stoked to start riding which means that i will need to get a good bike. I know to keep away from the Chinese makes as they dont last really long but i found this site https://ldnscooters.com/ and i want to know if any of you guys ever used their bikes. Basically the bikes on their are quite cheap so im not sure if its like a Chinese make or just a really good deal.
P.S i was thinking of getting this one in particular https://ldnscooters.com/speedy-2-50cc-scooter-black/
so any feedback and suggestions of what to get will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Buy something cheap to see you out of the year of purgatory until you can get a 125.

50 ccs are all of a muchness. There isn't really anything between them. You just choose between geared and auto.

Practically all mopeds are Chinese built. Ldn Scooter's offerings will be mechanically identical to countless other 'makes' since they're nearly all built by the same Chinese general engineering companies.
As Nobby said, it's only for a year so buy one you like the look of and PLEASE don't waste a ton of money trying to make it a teeny weenie bit faster. Save your cash for your first 125 which with four times the power and double the top speed will feel like riding a rocket.

Buy something cheap. Don't fuck about with it, try not to break it, and you might even be able to trade it in after 12 months.

Ok, thanks so much both of you! that makes it more clear, thats what i thought at first because there are people spending like 2 thousand and at the end of the day you only have it for one year. Thanks again guys Very Happy

Firstly it's pointless, you'll spend a lot of money, probably make things worse, maybe if you're lucky you'll get an extra couple of miles per hour.

Then there's the legalities, 'de-restrict it' and ...
You'll be riding without a licence, and probably invalidate your insurance.
Get caught and it's hundreds of pounds in fines, goodbye licence, goodbye bike, and the real biggie is you have to declare your convictions to insurers for at least fives years. If you can actually find someone who will insure you it will likely cost you thousands of pounds for anything with an engine. For a car you could easily be looking at £10,000 a year.

How do you get caught? Plod follows you in an unmarked car for 500 metres at 35mph. That's all it takes.

alright, thanks for all the information, so the best i can do is just drive a normal 50cc ped and just get a bigger bike when 17. No need to rush Cool

Yup,

Just keep it clean, look after it, change the oil when it needs doing (if not slightly early) and other service items so that when you come to sell it it's a good runner that someone will happily pay for.

Get more for it when you sell it, get more towards your next bike.

Sometimes it can be worth spending a bit more on something of decent quality which will hold it's value, rather than a Cheapy McCheaperson generic chinese bike which will be worth the square route of jack shit when you try to sell it so some unfortunate sod who doesnt realise how poo they are, and how even more poo it will be after you've spent a year ringing the last bit of life out of it Laughing
