need some help I got a er6f 08 plate went to put a tail tidy on it yesterday the wires for the indicators are fine but for the plate light its just red and black wires with the kit came some round connectors but the connector on the bike is a small square one will I need to cut this off and change them to the round ones thanks for any help

It'd just cut the wires and solder them together, with some heat shrink insulation sleeving. Thumbs Up

You'll likely have crimps or similar with it yes you will have to cut your loom.

I wouldn't solder incase you need to take it apart at some point. Buy a proper crimping tool to do it don't t just use pliers. It is also worth using self amalgamating tape to waterproof them.

Did it not come with a wiring adapter - block connector one end and bullets the other? The R&G one I last fitted had 3 different ones in the box to choose from.

I would splice and solder into the wires going to the connector block. Leave the connector block attached, and then if you want to put it back to standard, just cut the new wires off flush and insulate, and you will still have the original connector to plug into. Don't forget to insulate solder joint with heatshrink.

thanks for the help guys I didn't want to cut the loom but that's what I had to do a 10 min job no problems the bike looks a lot better now Very Happy

It would make more sense to cut the wires on the tail tidy and put appropriate connectors on them than cut the loom.

You never know, at some point someone may want to put iot back to standard and will cuss the fuckwit who fucked about with the loom.
