PostPosted: 20:56 - 29 Jan 2016    Post subject: Meniere's disease again Reply with quote

I received a message from an aptly named "Nobby the bastard" who seems to think my post regarding menier's was spam. I can only assume that Nobby is not only a bastard, but a complete fuckwit with shit for brains.
I hope that Nobby is not typical of the general mentality of others on this site.
Spoke too soon, just had a message from another retard called "Rogerborg".
I have taken up motorcycling again after 42 years, did my direct access course just before Christmas and should be picking my bike up from Honda on Monday morning.
However, I may have run into an unexpected problem with insurance.
I have had Menier's disease for eight years, which is a DVLA notifiable disease.
I did notify the DVLA and there are no restrictions on my licence.
I am trying to get my insurance in place but one of the companies I have approached have been a bit coy to say the least.
The purpose of my original post was to see if there are any other riders out there with Menier's and what their experience was with insurance.
Thanks in anticipation for any serious comments/advice.

Good point but when I notified them I did not have a bike licence, just the car licence.

Even a retard can spell Ménière's disease. What does that make you? Thinking

If there's nothing on your license, how would an insurer even find out about it unless you're such a sperg that you volunteer the information?

I'd strongly advise not letting yourself being outwitted by a retard, or worse, an insurer.

I don't think they're messages you have been receiving. Maybe a reply to your opening post?

Either way. Enjoy your stay!

Not so much of a fuckwit as the twat who can't tell the difference between a 'message' and a 'post'....

Insurance companies ask if you have a DVLA notifiable medical condition which you do. They'll also ask about if there are any restrictions on your license and or how frequently do you have to renew your license.

Absolutely no idea about anything specific to Meniere's disease but I can see why trying to discuss about Meniere's disease with insurance companies could be complicated by the fact nobody knows what it is.

They have all of the information required including the fact that I informed the DVLA of a notifiable medical condition and that no restrictions were placed on my licence.
One of the insurance companies I was considering phoned me up a few hours ago to see if they could get the business and offered to do it slightly cheaper than the online quote.
However when they enquired about the Meniere's disease they had to call me back, which they did about an hour later.
The quote increased by £100 and I now cannot access the original on line quotes.
When I asked why it had increased he told me he did not know and that he was only doing his job.
It would be interesting to see if any other riders with Meniere's have had any problems with insurance.

You will need to grow a thicker skin, I'd suggest 1.6mm extra should do it. BCF is made up of fuckwits, retards, knobgobblers, spackers and every other kind of marginalised group all of which are right in their opinion. This is how we like it.

Your first post was very vague and as Nobby said, reminiscent of much spam that we get, leading question that oft results in

"Oh well I know just the thing/place/company that can help".

We do not like spam. We deal with it at a user level. If enough people think it's spam it's spam.

Don't take it the wrong way, just be a bit more, shall we say, descriptive. Look for posts by Teflon Mike, those are epic tales, you should learn from those - although not his spelling.

I have a heart condition which I notified the DVLA about (actually so did the doctors and the hospital), after the initial 6 weeks of "YOU SHALL NOT DRIVE", I was declared fit enough to drive a car and ride a bike.... just not drive a bus.

Have I ever told my insurance company? That's on my to tell list with my aftermarket exhausts, LED indicators, after market bar ends etc.... it still hasn't affected my insurance though

Can you catch it over the internet?

Nobby the Bastard is an utter utter bastard and can be beaten by a simple magnet. He leaves nice ladies at the road side and doesn't change his underwear. He also has sperm that impregnates women to create other humans.
