Talk of 4 days away late August, blast 4 hours to the Vosges Mountains and make base there at a pukka hotel we stayed in last year on our way down south. Spend 2 days riding up and down and around them then blast home.

Better than any roads you will find in the UK and no speed traps or police presence. If you've been, you'll know. They border between France and Germany and I preferred them to the napoleon route!

A fortnight in Europe. Overnight ferry from Portsmouth to St Malo, overnight stop in La Rochelle then into the Pyrenees and zig zag through them and head for Barcelona for the Motogp. A quick dash through France, a couple of days in Germany, the misery of Dutch roads and then the booze cruise from Ijmuiden to Newcastle. After that it's run the gauntlet of speed cameras all the way home.

S'okay, a sports bike isn't ideal for the Lake District, but you'll be taking it easy on most of those roads anyway.

Heading up to Oslo at the end of July then taking a gradual meander back home but I haven't finished planning the route yet. I'm up to 10 days so far and still in Germany. Not sure whether to head west and go back to Amsterdam or south and add another week around Germany.

The leg up to Oslo I am doing in a group but splitting off from them and heading back on my own. I'm just not sure how much time I want to spend meandering through Europe on my own!

I don't really do bike travel anymore, I've done plenty of UK and Europe trips in the past when I had proper bikes.

I also hate the sad excuse of what's left of bike pub meets/biker nights, it ain't like the 90's when it was massive and proper hooning was the norm.

I'll probably stay at home in the shed tbh, but I might just go over to Bassetts pole once to see how crap it is now?

Otherwise I'm going to throw something together to use as an off road bike to have a laugh on and ride on any bit of land I fancy, as green laning does not appeal, not round here anyway.

What is it that sucks? being away from your cardboard box?

Have you ever been outside the UK? was it the one time you got raped? did Pablo touch you in the laundry room when you were a little boy?

Yes, been outside the UK, but by car / boat / plane, not on a bike cause to be honest i can't think of anything worse. Only time i'd consider leaving these pleasant shores on a bike would be to go to the TT.

The rest of your post is fairly autistic so i'll leave it there.
